Who are we?

The climate crisis is the greatest global and existential threat we currently face and serves as a major multiplier of all other significant systemic issues underpinning our society (e.g. economic and racial injustice). Meanwhile, climate justice activism is criminalized further every year. Therefore, the global climate justice movement needs to be equipped to leave no one behind.

This became especially evident in August 2021 with the humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan escalating by the Taliban takeover: Youth climate activists didn’t know where to reach out for support. Shortly after, at COP26, international youth climate justice activists faced threats when returning home, revealing the structural gap of safety infrastructure for climate activists.

Since our beginnings in 2021, we have traveled a long and difficult path to establish as a reliable incident response network for the international climate movement, creating from scratch a platform to safeguard those who put their lives at risk to defend our planet. We observe a clear and growing need for an accessible support structure with enough resources to assess and respond to threats climate justice activists face on the ground.
